PREPRESS HELP PAGES Here are some useful tips and information on how to set up your files for trouble free output. Please contact us if you need any further help. We look forward to working with you on your next publication.Color Considerations -If defining a job in spot colors (e.g. Pantone, Trumatch, etc.) and drawing your own crop and/or registration marks make sure to draw crops in 100% of all colors used or if available draw marks with the color "Registration," otherwise black crops will only be on the black plate (NOT ON ANY OTHER PLATE!). -Make absolutely sure that colors defined in placed artwork are of the same name exactly as text/elements in page layout program otherwise you will get multiple separations for each color - this will be costly. -Don't use process color definitions (CYMK) if you are requesting spot color separations. Remember this applies to your imported graphics too! -Make sure to set your colors as process if you are requesting 4c separations - make sure to convert all spot colors (e.g. Pantone, Trumatch, etc.) to process definitions in all supporting programs (both illustration and layout programs).
